Membership in the Bankruptcy Law Section is more than an affiliation—it’s a chance to grow, connect, and lead within a supportive and engaged community. Whether you are new to practice or a seasoned professional, the Section provides the tools, relationships, and opportunities to help you thrive.

Membership Qualifications:

Any member of the State Bar of Texas may become a member of the Bankruptcy Law Section via the State Bar of Texas website.
To Join, log in to your “My Bar” page
At the top right corner, enter your Bar Number and Password
Select “Join Sections”
Select “Bankruptcy Law”
Scroll to bottom of page
Select “Add to Cart”
Select “Checkout” on the next page and complete the checkout process
Or download and mail in the membership application form.

If you are not a member of the State Bar of Texas, you may become a member of the Section upon approval by the Chair of the Section as a non-voting associate member and upon payment of annual Section dues, as applicable.

All current Texas Bankruptcy Judges are enrolled as members of the Section without application or the payment of annual Section dues.

Membership Fee:

The standard Section membership fee is $25.
Law students and attorneys licensed two years or less may join for free by completing and submitting the application accessible here.
